MEANGLEAN SELLS USED ITEMS
The very nature of what I do here at Meanglean and Meanglean Alchemist (our new creative supplies shop) is to recycle, reclaim and re purpose beautiful items from the past.
All items in both shops have had a previous life, previous owners and their own individual stories, so, they come to us bearing the signs of their rich existence. Rust , patina, and even marks of children's tiny teeth are, to me, the added beauty of a vintage find.
I try my very best to photograph, and point out in the description, all such charming imperfections.
Mostly, items are sold as they are shown in the pictures, if there is a detail that I think aren't visible in the pictures, I will include it in the description, sometimes I might include a prop and I will also point out weather this is a part of the selling item or not.
CUSTOM ORDERS
I am very happy to work with you to find an item you might be looking for, and I can make minor changes to some jewelry pieces, like adjusting the length of a chain on a bracelet or necklace. Occasionally I might have more that one of the same item or I might have another similar one, but mostly the items I sell are one off's and are sold as they are shown.
PACKAGING
Whenever possible, I will also use recycled materials for packaging, all clean and prettified. I am always on the lookout for sturdy boxes and interesting looking paper.
This way; not only are we doing our bit to decrease landfills, but also, each package will have it's own individual personality.
If you would like something to be gift wrapped, please drop us a line, we do that too :)
As per yet, there isn't a way to link both shops, I think Etsy might be working on that. But, if you would like to order items from both shops, please let me know before you purchase them so I can combine the shipping costs for you.

Shipping
By default we ship all items via Royal Mail Standard delivery, this service does not include a tracking number. National deliveries tend to happen within 1 or 2 working days. For overseas shipping, the usual time frame for deliveries is 5 to 10 working days.
Once in a blue moon, there can be delays with parcels taking up to 25 working days to reach their destination. This can be due to an increase in traffic for the postal services over busy periods like Christmas, staff shortages, random custom checks or simply human error.
The Royal Mail also offers Tracked & Signed to most countries outside of the UK, which aims to deliver within 5 working days and provides a tracking number at an extra cost. Larger items will vary. If you would like to use an extra service please let us know and I will adjust the listing for you. Please note that, as much as this service tends to be reliable, the Royal Mail does not guarantee delivery dates.
